John Teeling erwarb im Jahr 1987 eine ehemalige Brennerei mit dem Namen Ceimici Teoranta Distillery, die sich in staatlichem Besitz befand und Kartoffeldestillate produzierte. Nach der Umbenennung in Cooley Distillery stattete er die Brennerei so aus, dass sie sowohl Single Malt, als auch Single Grain produzieren kann. Mit dem Erwerb der alten Kilbeggan Distillery schuf John Teeling Platz zur Lagerung seiner in der Cooley Distillery produzierten Whiskeys.

Tyrconnell 10 Jahre Madeira Finish reifte zuerst in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern und erhielt im Anschluss eine Nachreifung in Madeirafässern. Abgefüllt mit 46 % vol. Alkohol.

Aroma: Süß mit weinigen Noten und hellen Trockenfrüchten, zart würzig mit etwas Eiche.

Geschmack: Aprikosenmarmelade, Ingwer und Rosinen, Karamell und etwas Muskat, malzig.
