The White Oak Distillery, founded in the city of Akashi in 1984, belongs to the Eigashima Shuzo company that became known for the production of Sake and Shochu. Whiskey production was relocated to the new distillery from 1984 and concentrated there. Malt whiskey is made on two stills, which is later filled as such or married with grain whiskey.
