Japan's first gin distillery is located in the south of the Japanese city of Kyoto.
Their only product to date, the KI NO BI Kyoto Dry Gin, is a premium drink made from rice alcohol and eleven Japanese botanicals with 45.7% alcohol.
The name Kinobi means "the beauty of the seasons", so it has absolutely nothing to do with the similar-sounding Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The special thing about this gin is the complex production process, which only a few distilleries worldwide undertake.
